Dear Constituent,

Thank you for taking the time to e-mail me. I appreciate your concerns
and opinions regarding library funding, and I will take them into
consideration as I review HB 1. I have received nearly 25,000 emails on the library issue in the past two days and I can see that it is one that many citizens hold dear to their hearts. I understand the value of libraries,
especially in these trying economic times. When I have taken my young
daughter to the library in recent months I have seen the upturn in use
of library facilities. Cuts are being made all across the board and
every program and service is seeing a reduction in funds, but I will
fight to retain as much of the library budget as possible. If you have
